It
is essential that we build up a case file on incidents in
Wales to demonstrate the seriousness of the problem. With
evidence, we can make a case for change and put pressure on
policy makers to give Muslims the protection they deserve
and of which they are in dire need.
R.A.H.M.A. (Arabic for 'compassion') is a voluntary advocacy
organisation set up in the wake of the I.H.R.C. report into
religious discrimination against British Muslims. R.A.H.M.A.
seeks to monitor racial incidents in Wales to establish whether
or not there is a religious element to racial discrimination,
harassment or violence against Muslims regardless of ethnic
background, and to highlight such incidents and actively pursue
the perpetrators through the appropriate agencies.
